Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One great kettle
I bought this for my daughter, I already knew how good this kettle was as I have one myself. I would highly recommend this product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Attractive, safe and efficient
The black kettle goes well with a dark granite counter top. These kettles are much safer than stove-top water boiling. They automatically shut off when the water boils, and when it is in any way uneven (like someone knocks it over). Water stays warm for quite awhile, and by pushing the button to turn it back on, you can rewarm it quickly. I recommend it highly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It is what everyone says it is.... Great!
Well... I have no idea why but I am adverse to boiling water via any means other than a stove, (I would even prefer that the stove have gas.) I won't allow my partner to boil water in the micro wave.

However, I go through a water kettle every 8 months because the whistle breaks down. I have tried several brands, very expensive one -- and the whistling mechanism starts to fail or soften in sound. So I don't hear that the pot has come to a boil while I am in another room.

I spent the summer abroad in temporary housing. They provided an electric kettle -- not unlike this one in design but nowhere near the quality and I was sold.

I wanted to get something to boil water in my office -- and after researching on Amazon for a couple of hours it was clear Braun was making the best model by far.

I am so picky about what I want that even though Amazon had the white one on sale for 2/3 the price and free 2 day shipping -- I still went with this one because of the color.

Well I have had it for a few days -- not long, so I can't comment on endurance but others have -- this post is so great! There is no funny taste to the water (I use bottled water for everything == and different brands of water for different purposes :-) ) and the kettle boiled the water to true boiling temperature, it turns off by itself when it reaches that point, it boils the water quickly and it is to refill no mater what kind of water jug you are using.

It looks elegant -- and I am thinking about getting one for home. I live in an apartment building that was built in the '60's so even though it is penthouse it has postage stamp sized kitchen as was the style then. I really don't want another item on the scare counter space I have -- but this is so nice and convenient and safe -- I will probably give in and buy one for home. The question then is what do I do with the 4 regular kettles of different brands I keep for when I burn out the current kettle because the whistle stopped working?

Oh I guess that is one drawback to this electric kettle. No whistle. My life is so hectic -- I don't have time to stay and watch the water boil -- I am usually in another room changing or doing something -- and I lose track of time. That is what is so good about a whistling kettle. It catches my attention so I can go back to the kitchen and make my morning French Press coffee.
Well I will have to wait and see if I want one for home.

But if this kettle had a whistle when it is boiling -- then it would be perfect.

A solid 4 Star rating for this convenient water boiler. For a few years I have been using the pitcher with the purified water but recently I thought (and believe, I do think a lot!) what if I had boiling water readily available on a constant basis? And that is why I purchased the BRAUN WK200B AquaExpress Electric Water Kettle for what now I consider a very nice price from my favorite by far, Amazon.com. Water boils fast and that has become the water for drinking and making just about any creation that requires such an important liquid. I have been using it for about a month and no complaints. Will have to wait the required 6 months trial in order to raise the Star Rating but so far so good. Easy clean up, water tastes tasty and having a nice cup of tea does not require turning the stove on and forgetting it till it burns (yes, we have been known to have forgotten this simple action and payed dearly for our neglect)the kettle, stove and maybe someday the house down. With an automatic shut-off it completes a great convenient package. As a fellow reviewer mentioned: How did I live without one for so long? I'll never never know. We use it 2 or 3 times a day, clean with white vinegar as the instructions easily suggests with no aftertaste and enjoy it all around. Now that winter is surely to arrive can anyone just imagine the many cups of fine tea that will be consumed throughout this great land of ours? 4 Stars for this one! A winner even if you don't ask me...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Does what it needs to, and looks good
Well designed product, so far i have not had any problems with it. No plastic tasting water, i also love the fact that the kettle swivels on the base...genius...
