Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - GREEN BAGS DEBBIE MEYER
GREEN BAGS WASTE OF MONEY,,,SHARED WITH FRIENDS,EVERY ONE SAID SAME THING DO NOT HELP OR WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Don't buy the bags. They DON'T work.
The fruits and veggies do look good on the outside but taste like cardboard on the inside. Bleh!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I love these bags
I have really found these bags to be great... some foods are better than others, but peppers, cucumbers, grapes, zucchini, spinach, lettuce all keep perfectly in the fridge. My banana's ripen slower than on the counter which is good and i have experienced that "ripe" inside when they still look good on the outside but I can live with that. I agree that you need to wipe the inside of the bags to keep moisture down, but that is a small price to pay for longer lasting foods. Especially in these days when everything is so expensive and gas so high, I love being able to stock up on sale items and then have them ready to eat in the fridge. I find that you need to start with good quality foods to have a good result but I am sold on these bags.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Don't waste your Money!
The bags do not do what they are purported to do! The food we placed in the bags did not keep any lomger then the food not placed in the bags. The food in the bag, especially bananas, looked great but when you cut into them they were just as rotten as bananas left out on the counter for the same period of time (one week)!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Waste of money! Fruit rotted FASTER!
If you put a bunch of bananas in one of these bags you will need to remove them each day and wipe the inside of the green bag dry. If you don't do this they will go bad fast....really really fast. After calling the company and getting this advice...I will never never purchase these again. What a waste!

If you don't mind paying big, think small. Small laptops, camcorders and printers, that is.

Hurricanes, as we've seen, can wreak serious havoc when they strike populated areas. We've never had control over them before, but one researcher thinks they could be broken up with F-4 fighter jets.

In theory, sending in a pair of the jets to do loops around the eye of the hurricane while it's still out over the ocean, creating sonic booms, would break it up before it hits the shore.

Jet fighters flying at supersonic speeds along special trajectories with a hurricane/typhoon at various altitudes would create supersonic booms. In one such embodiment, the trajectories for the supersonic booms of the present invention are counter to the rotational component of the hurricane and/or typhoon being targeted. As such, supersonic booms can be tailored and/or designed to partially and/or fully -negate the basic rotational contribution in a hurricane by slowing down a hurricane's/typhoon's rotation. Additionally, when supersonic booms propagate downward to the surface of the ocean they also destabilize a hurricane's/typhoon's structure by increasing the pressure in the central part of a hurricane's/typhoon's eye.

It's a pretty crazy idea, but I guess it makes sense. It would be pretty amazing to be able to stop any hurricane before it hit shore, saving millions and millions of dollars and who knows how many lives. I can't wait for them to test this out. [Patent via AV Web; Thanks, Jason!]
