Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Zapp em!
I love this swatter! My friend got one right after i told her how much i loved mine. She however, purchased the D battery version, it's a little heavier. I recommend the AA or rechargeable versions.

Its not the most humane way to kill a fly, but killing never is.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Got Zapped
Put me on the list of those who received a defective one in the mail. I put in the batteries, pressed the switch and nothing happened. I have one from a different manufacturer that works fine, so it was clearly defective.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Great idea, poor quality
I never had the chance to use this. I decided to recharge it as it had been sitting for weeks. When I put the battery back it no longer worked at all. Somehow, I wasn't surprised.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AWESOME POWER !!
Let me start out by saying, I hate flies. I love Greek Mythology. This makes me feel like Zeus imparting wrathful vengeance on these mortal flies when the lightning shoots out. You can even hear the thunderclap! Everyone I've showed this to is amazed at how well it works. Get one today. (Make sure it's this brand. I tried another brand and it didn't work nearly as well.)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Few That Works
I seen other brands of fly Zappers on YouTube where People would touch Their tongue to the grid only to do It again but If You did It with this one You would Not do It again It would burn Your tongue to say the least. This fly Zapper uses the right amount of voltage and grid design to zap even them little micro flies that think they own You. There should be a law that Manufactures has to test Their product before They sell It and every store on earth has to sell fly Zappers and cannot cost more than $15.00

Java Entrepreneur

Sun Microsystems has announced plans to cut between 5,000 and 6,000 jobs — that's between 15 and 18 percent of its workforce.

"It blamed the cuts on the global economic downturn, but I think that like many other companies, Sun is using the downturn as an excuse for what were pre-existing problems, foretold by its stock price, which seems to be in an unending swoon," suggests GigaOM's Om Malik.

"How much has Sun spent to develop Solaris or Java?" asks InfoWorld's Neil McAllister. "How much must it continue to invest in maintaining other products, which, despite being open source, have no appreciable development community? To say these products are not loss leaders suggests something akin to Hollywood accounting."

The answer? "Spin off Java," McAllister added in a later post. "Just get rid of it — farm it out to an industry consortium and let the companies that depend upon it manage it..."
