Editorial Review:

Amazon.com ReviewFor preserving the flavor and aroma of ground coffee, this container replicates the vacuum-sealed package the coffee (or beans) comes in. After opening the package, simply pour the coffee into the container, place the pump on the lid's rubber stopper, and pump the air out of the container. When coffee is needed, pinch the stopper and remove the lid. Then reseal by pumping the air out again. The plastic container holds about 1/2 pound of ground coffee and stands 5 inches high (without the lid). While it's ideal for coffee, the container is perfect also for any food that loses freshness quickly when exposed to air, such as chocolate, crackers, and nuts. For cleaning, the food saver can be dismantled easily. --Fred Brack

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Defective
Sounds like I got a canister like someone below. Mine won't hold the seal for longer than a minute or two. Completely useless. So cheap though, not worth returning. But already in the trash. Sure if mine wasn't defective- it would do the job. Pumping is no big deal and easy.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good for fresh herbs too!
Title says it all. Heck if you have an imagination, love food -you can use this for anything actually.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great little simple to use product!
I got the Vacu Win starter set and a second canister for Christmas because I'm a coffee addict. I love coffee and this simple storage container helps me keep my coffee very very fresh. It's so simple to use and works wonders. No leaks and great negative pressure so I'm really happy!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent product
This has a great benefit to preserving coffee after its been ground. This product is not the easiest too find. I've never seen it in a retail store anywhere--glad to have found it here at Amazon!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Seems to keep a vacuum - I rate it as "okay"
The vacuum is created by using a separate pump, and it is difficult to know if one has pumped sufficiently. Then there is the question of where to keep the pump device. I found the container a bit smaller than I needed to store my coffee beans, and space consuming, considering the need to keep the pump device handy.
