Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Knife Expert Approved; Multi-Functional and Durable
I am a stage performer as well as a chef. I specialize in contortion and throwing knives (often with my feet). I use the Wusthof so much in the kitchen, that I thought I would incorporate it into my act. I throw the knives at flying fruit and vegis and perform flips with knives between my toes and fling them at my assistants. Throwing knives are usually smaller, perfectly balanced, and forged from one solid piece. They require perfect tang as well and incredible strength. Wusthof is the ONLY high-end kitchen knife that meets these requirements.

Although I have several chef's knives (global, henckel, wusthof, etc) I prefer the Wusthof both in the Kitchen and on Stage. I would never bring the Henckel or any other brand. Wusthof has absolutely perfect balance and tang. The difference from throwing knives is that kitchen knives usually have handles added to the forged steel. Unlike any other high-end brand, Wusthof's handle is extremely durable. In practice, I broke all other brands of knife, both handle and blade. I was surprised that my Henckels did not last very long (the 6" 4-star pro's blade snapped in half and 8"'s handle came apart on one side). The quality of a Wusthof really shows when you use it for something it's not meant for and is still extremely reliable.

And as you can read in all the other reviews, it is very sharp. In case you're wondering, I've never injured an assistant, but I did slit my foot open one time. I also stuck a head of lettuce to a vaulted ceiling.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Product
I gave this knife to my dad for fathers' day, and he seems very happy with it. In the few times I have used this knife, I have been very impressed. The blade is so sharp that it actually cut into one of our cutting boards! Overall, a very multi-functional, suberbly made knife.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My favorite knife
This is my favorite knife. It cuts very nicely and has a great feel. Mine is still sharp after 2 years of use.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Knife review
This knife appears to be very high initial quality. I've bought other knives and either the ends get broken off or they rust. I haven't had these very long, we'll see how they hold up.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great little knife
I never thought I would write a review of a pairing knife, but this one is so good I couldn't resist.

The thing I really like about it is the balance. It is just about perfect. I never realized how much of a difference that would make, but it does make a difference. Moving the knife one way and then another is just about effortless. That - combined with the sharpness of the knife - makes it very, very easy to use.

Additionally, it seems to be well made and of good materials. I have now had it for almost a year and it is as sharp as when it first arrived.

I like this knife so much I am going to buy another so I always have one when the other is in the washer.

Amazon.com is offering a so-called Black Friday special on Eye-Fi Share:
The 2 GB Wi-Fi-enabled Secure Digital card normally runs $90; it's $65 while the sale lasts.

Given that Eye-Fi introduced a limited-time-only 4 GB "Anniversary" model that replaced the 2 GB Share version in its current line-up, and that the Anniversary model was $130 list but $100 for Costco members, it's pretty clear that the 2 GB won't re-appear, the 4 GB model will drop in price, and Amazon's acting as a clearance center.

The Eye-Fi Share lets you upload pictures over a local network to a designated computer, or upload via a Wi-Fi network for which the Eye-Fi is configured to connect over the Internet to Eye-Fi's servers, and from there to a specified photo-sharing, social-network, or photo-printing service.

I'm a fan of the Eye-Fi, although I favor the currently $130 Explore model (see my review), which comes with geotagging (via Skyhook Wireless) and adds a year of included uploading via Wayport locations (now part of AT&T).
